For a fact-based worldview

Anna Rosling Rönnlund, Gapminder Foundation

The Gapminder Foundation has tested people on basic global development trends – and most seem completely misinformed about how the world looks. Speaking at Science Unlimited 2019, Anna Rosling Rönnlund dismantled the three mega-misconceptions shaping our worldview and showed what the world really looks like, in ways everyone could understand.

Anna develops ground-breaking data visualization tools to make data easier to understand and use, including the user-interface of Trendalyzer, an animating bubble-chart tool acquired by Google, and the Dollar Street project to show how people live on different income levels. She also wrote the bestselling book Factfulness with Hans Rosling and Ola Rosling, with whom she also co-founded Gapminder. Anna has a Bachelor Degree in Photography and a Masters Degree in Social Sciences with a major in Sociology.
