Regulatory T cells: master orchestrators of immune tolerance and tissue homeostasis

30 September 2026 | 16:00-17:30 CEST

Explore how regulatory T cells (Tregs)—the immune system's natural "peacemakers"—could transform disease treatment from broad immunosuppression to precision tolerance.

Tregs for precision tolerance medicine

Hear from the authors of a Frontiers in Science lead article as they present a roadmap for developing Tregs as adaptable "living drugs" that can restore immune balance and support tissue repair.

The author panel, which includes Nobel laureate Dr Fred Ramsdell, will examine how advances in cell engineering, delivery technologies, and patient selection could enable Treg therapies to be tailored to specific diseases, tissues, and immune environments, improving their ability to target the right immune responses, in the right place, at the right time.

The article highlights how Treg cells can help repair tissues and maintain immune balance, opening new possibilities for treating conditions ranging from metabolic and cardiovascular disease to neurodegeneration.

Join the authors and an expert panel to discuss the scientific, clinical, and regulatory advances needed to move precision tolerance medicine from concept to reality.
