Celebrating 10 years of FRONTIERS
One decade ago, Frontiers set out to pursue its vision for Open Science. By any measure our mission has succeeded, uniting researchers and institutions into the world’s largest open-science community.
To celebrate our tenth anniversary, we will once again get together in the Swiss Alps to look back at the achievements of our Open Science movement, to celebrate and recognize the contribution of the Frontiers community in this revolution, and to reflect on what the future of Open Science might hold.
This year’s theme will thus be Looking ahead: Research & Innovation in 2030, and will tackle a broad spectrum of breakthrough science. Topics will focus on big missions for humanity and include preventing and curing disease, empowering humans through machines and Artificial Intelligence, switching to clean-energy, sustainable food production and designing happiness and productivity in cities. And notably, representatives from the academic community, industry and policy will be discussing how we can ensure that the future of science is Open Science.
As our fourth annual Frontiers Forum, this weekend retreat is a unique opportunity for the Frontiers community to come together around key topics and Open Science strategies. We are very pleased to be hosting this year’s event at the W Hotel, voted the world’s best ski hotel in the famous Swiss mountain resort, Verbier.
We hope to see you there!
