At Frontiers we are passionate and dedicated to creating a better world for future generations. So, every year, we bring together our Chief Editors, representing communities across 40 diverse fields of scientific endeavour, as well as external experts, providing industry and policy perspectives, to:

  • discuss how to tackle the most critical issues facing humanity

  • meet the Frontiers team, reflect on progress and review platform enhancements.

At our last event, topics covered eradicating disease, providing food for a growing population and protecting our environment. As well as the hopes and challenges of new technologies, including, brain simulations, Artificial Intelligence, blockchain and space travel.

Some of our distinguished speakers were Carolyn Porco, lead of NASA’s Cassini mission imaging team, Mark Post, chief scientific officer at Mosameat and creator of the first lab-grown tissue hamburger, and Nancy Knowlton, originator of #OceanOptimism and the Earth Optimism Summits. See the full line-up of speakers or watch the highlights video below.

For our 5th annual forum we are once again organizing an inspirational program looking at the cutting-edge science of tomorrow – watch this space as the first set of speakers will be announced very soon.

We are very pleased to host our 2019 retreat at the Fairmont Palace in Montreux, Switzerland – world-renowned for its annual Jazz Festival on the shores of Lac Léman – and hope to see you there.
